Stainless Steel 304 Flats are made with a blend between chromium and nickel and minimal additions of Carbon. The austenitic structure of the SS Flat bars gives them superior toughness, even down at cryogenic temperatures. The SS Flat Bars don’t require Intermediate annealing and can be severely deep drawn after welding. The applications of the SS Flats are widened by its ability to get work-hardened to high strength levels whilst retaining a useful level of ductility and toughness. They also offer great formability and welding properties. With great welding properties, the SS Patti also avoids carbide precipitation during welding process.
